About our Training Courses

We offer top quality, flexible training in standard computer applications, internet, graphics, technical, programming and bespoke software at all levels from new users to advanced on our site or at your location.

Please note that arrangements and course content are flexible to the client's requirements and the notes below refer to our usual arrangements. Our training courses are tutor-led. It is advantageous for delegates in any class to be of approximately the same ability level.

Customising Company Courses

We are happy to tailor courses as required. In some cases a mixture of topics from different levels has been the most appropriate. To facilitate this, we provide the syllabus for all levels of the subject and go through this syllabus explaining what each does. Then the customer can assemble a list of those items of particular use to them.

Pre-Course Questionnaires

We have pre-course questionnaires, if helpful, for each Microsoft application which helps decide which level is most suitable for the delegates.

Class Sizes - Introductory and Intermediate level courses

We recommend a maximum of eight delegates in courses to allow plenty of student / trainer time. If larger numbers needed to be trained on the same day, we would split the numbers into two groups in two training rooms with a trainer with each room.

Class Sizes - Advanced Level Courses

We recommend smaller classes of around five to six.

Skills Levels

For the greatest benefit, it is best if class groups are of similar experience and skills levels. In mismatched groups the more experienced delegates can be unhappy or frustrated by the pace of the course which has to be set to accommodate everyone in the class.

After-Training Support

Once users begin to use these applications to complete day to day jobs there may be tasks that they are unable to complete. After-training support is included for 30 days after the training has been delivered.

Delegates can telephone if they wish although many have emailed their problem to us so we are able to asses what has to be done and then either talk them through it on the 'phone or email over notes to help them sort it out for themselves.

Course Materials

Lesson Books

These are used in training courses. This ensures continuity and standardisation even when different trainers are delivering the training.

Course Pre-loads

Standard exercises for the lesson books are loaded onto the delegates' computers.

Manuals

Manuals are given on CD's. However printed manuals can be supplied, by prior arrangement. For company bookings, we can also provide a copy in a ring pull binder which can be photocopied if preferred by individual delegates.

Delegates Wallet

Each delegate is given a folder at the start of the training session which contains:

  1. A notebook for their notes in class
  2. A CD containing their course notes
